Plain Vanilla

Anonymous I've pared back Drake CMS and Drake Extender template to a bare minimum Vanilla template for the free mini sites I offer to those with something to offer the rabbit and guinea pig pet community.

See the Example site.

I have a number of coloured versions with bars and backgrounds which I'll add as templates to the SVN as generics.

The Manager role gets to see the full menus of Forum, Gallery etc but I wanted an ultra basic version for Publishers or Editors with little or no web experience.

I am hoping to work on tutorials for the various level users based on my experience. Anyone interested in collaboration please let me know.

Legolas already introduced me to those who handle Templates and Documentation for Drake CMS but I am a relative newbie so all help and advice welcome.

Anonymous Excellent work Galen; please also propose all the customizations you made as single feature requests (for example regarding different default user roles)

Last time I asked stigi (Documentation Team coordinator) he told me that he is still waiting an email answer about collaboration; please agree with him about pieces of the new documentation that you could write.

About templates: if you do not want to use SVN you can use our contributions tracker to submit your templates and we will put them on SVN (if their license is compatible with the project, of course)

The idea is that templates on SVN can be easily checked/fixed and then packed for release. They do not really have to be on SVN, we are just endorsing this practice while in the Beta development cycle so that we can apply eventual adjustments to all templates at once (but I am 99% sure that the templates feature is already Stable)

Thanks again!
