Hi, I couldn't find any information on this so I am starting
a thread. I have installed one of the previous manifestations of
drake (last fall) and am interested in updating to the new
version. What do I need to do to retain my old data and template?
Do I just upload and install the new drake overtop my old one?

What revison have you got, that long ago would put it in the very
first Alpha stages..
There has been a huge amount of
work/changes done since then, including to the DB structure, Your
onlyn option may be to backup the old install, and do a new
install with the current Beta and attempt a restore of the
backup.
