I am doing a backup for the purposes of upgrading to the latest
version. Everything goes ok and after it finish it said 83%
complete and the option "next". I take it.
Then when restoring i receive this error message from 7z: ! C:\Documents and Settings\SEGURIDAD\My
Documents\HTTP_Server\h3v2fwv_intranet.tar.gz: CRC failed in
C:\Documents and Settings\SEGURIDAD\My
Documents\HTTP_Server\h3v2fwv_intranet.tar.gz. The file is
corrupt
I am so frustrated since i have done this many
times before without any problem... so what have changed? My
current version is 0.4.9 r5075

Hi
Initialy the only things that come to mind are
server restrictions on time and size, what size is the backup
liklely to be, how long is the backup process running for?
I am sure others will have a more technical answer for
you..

Can you please check your PHP Information and see what's your PHP
execution timeout value?
You might need to tweak the
anti-timeout code in order to prevent this crash, or to increase
your execution timeout

I have change the values... and it only increased to 84% This
might be the problem indeed. Here are my values for PHP. Any

Funny thing: I deleted some files to make the backup smaller and
now it shows 71% complete and still is giving me the corrupt file
error.

Ok.. my mistake It was winrar that was reporting this error. I
installed 7z and it unrared the file with no problem
whatsoever.
So I think the problem is with WINRAR and
no the tarball backup facility, althought the % showing less than
100% is troublesome.
Anyway, I think I can upgrade
now. If I have any more problems, I'll will be posting them here.
