Require downloading with IE6
06 November 2007 11:31
Anonymous I invite all users who have IE6 browsers to require downloading a file Office (Word or Excel) previously loaded (download manager) in mode 'open' and 'save' and verify operation.
Thanks

note: Works well with FF and IE7

Anonymous Hi

Using IE 6 SP2

When downloading using the "Serve all files via PHP and not through the webserver" option set to "Yes" the first 3 characters of the file name are deleted.. File is downloaded OK

When downloading using the "Serve all files via PHP and not through the webserver" set to "NO" errors if any spaces are in the filename, if spaces removed downloads OK or opens OK.

Hope this is what you were after..

Same thing. My test is on a public Linux server with php 4.4.7. (filename without spaces)

With this setting in my case this is the behavior:
a- In case of 'open' file, after download launch the client application (ex.word) and show error "not file found"
b- In case of 'save' the download is not completed

In this case it works properly.
