I found one lightweight editor which seems to be sufficient
for most wysywyg editing operations.

It has <
30kB.

It is simple, efficient and very nice interface (as soon as you
select an option , displays other tools). I like it. Very much. I
would like it to be defauld in lanius. That would be something
different. Think different, but better.

Agreed,
I would like it in to be default too, which
not exclude other editors (FCKEditor, TinyMCE...). Those
editors could be offered as modules or so.
i
think that 90% of all content editing can be done with Whizzywig.
It would lower Lanius's weight a lot.

We must not forget that Drake/Lanius is a kind of lite CMS, and,
also this new editors is very efficient in terms of time alocated
to edit (smallest probably) and also is LITE. WTF? Why do we
actually have 3 editors, one of them at about 2MB; why 3? Two of
them are ballshit. I like this vy much, also FCK. Otherwise i
forgot to see if its licenced as free GPL.

Unfortunately in trying to have a look at whizzywig most of the
download links on the website are broken..
It shows
promise, but the others would also have to be available if it did
not work..

hmmm with a quick look isn't this the link
http://www.unverse.net/whizzery/whizzywig.js Java script file
and many more..sometimes a quick look is
not enough..
It has promise but if you can't evaluate
it fully then it is a waste of time until you can..

I have noticed all of broken links, but with those things that are available it is possible to do most of the tasks in text editing. Even if it wouldn't be supported in the
future it can be usefull for its primary task: basic text
editing. That will not be changed never. Basic editing
is 90% needs of 90% web sites, i think.

The news are that the Lanius CMS will be released in the
usually-known full-packed release (same as Drake CMS) and in a
"barebone" release, that will be the standard one.
Things are going to change in the new project, since the
CMS has changed its testing status.
