Components installation
10 May 2007 19:52
Anonymous Hi all. I try to publish a new component in my site without success.1) First I try by uploading a zip file but I got a timeout from my proxy. 2) then by using a local path and i got this message:XML package descriptor is not valid. 3) with the remote URL I got:Please correctly fill all necessary fields. If 'abc' is the name of the component, the package descriptor is abc.xml, com_abc.xml or something else? Suggestion? Tank's

Anonymous I suppose you are the author of the component; anyway, we do not have yet published documentation about how to make components.

Please wait for such documentation before making further development for Drake CMS components.

It is perfectly possible to make components for Drake CMS right now but there is actually no documentation - you'd have to take an existing component as template.

Anonymous I also try to add a menu without success.
Drake retured an error 'too many fields in insert into...' and the link with bugslist doesn't work.
PS:
The error is the field 'ordering' repeated twice in the insert into

This is a well-known issue of v0.4.0, it has already been fixed and will be patched with v0.4.1
