Administrator Menu rendering bug
31 January 2007 18:03
Anonymous Whenever I go to the administrator page and hover my mouse cursor over a menu item (like System or Menu), the submenu appears rendered at a totally wrong position. I can't do anything because of this sad

Check THIS screenshot (representing 3 screen-fragments) to see what I mean:

I'm running "Drake v0.2.9 ALPHA rev.1170" in Windows XP64 bit, and the problem occurs on Internet Explorer 6 (32-bit), Internet Explorer 6 (64-bit) and Internet Explorer 7 (64-bit). Haven't tested any other browsers. My webserver is Apache/2.2.0 (Win32) and I'm using PHP/5.1.2 with MySQL as database.

Otherwise all webpage rendering looks perfect, just awsome even (impressive job!). It's just this menu, and I think it must be some bug in the javascript or DHTML code orso (haven't checked source - don't consider it my job).

I hope there's a fix possible because I would like to use this CMS as part of project management for my own development project Dynics (a specialized operating system) (soon to be publically available on SourceForge - project in review/acceptance phase). This should give you a nice user reference while I'm always happy to try and support new stuff.

Best regards,
Cor Schols (aka Coriiander)

Anonymous Dear Cor,

the bug has just been fixed in the latest SVN revision; it was due to a bug of the internal JSCookMenu which has now been updated.

Many thanks for your detailed bug report! I wish all users do the same way with their bug reports! wink

If you have further problems, please contact us. Drake CMS will enter its Beta stage on Friday (tomorrow) so we would like to more intensely test it on the next days.

Thanks again

Anonymous It's awsome that this fix was available THIS fast, seriously smile
Also thanks for sending me the newest snapshot.... (service!)

Anyhow, I'll go install the newest snapshot now, and you can consider me a beta-tester as I will be using the CMS for my own project resources. I have fullest faith it will meet the requirements and support just fine so.

Thanks for the support, and good luck on the project,
Cor Schols

It may sound strange, but I first fixed it because I spot it while making a test in IE, then I read your forum post!

Once beta there will no more be need of full re-installs for each update. However if you have some request or improvement suggestion for Drake CMS, as always tell us!
