You are reading the Drake CMS Official Forums archive, available for historical purposes only.
Drake CMS has been rebranded into Lanius CMS, visit the new Lanius CMS Official Forums if you need support about Lanius CMS or Drake CMS -> Lanius CMS migration.
As we begin to develop the road map for Drake CMS, I am asking
for community input into it and what is important to those who
use the system. One developer is currently exploring an update to
the forum/BBS component. One that is PHP based would be ideal
since it would support both sql DB and text DB sites. An example
of a potential candidate to be bridged is UNC, located at: http://newsboard.unclassified.de/ I am
asking the community what you think our main development goals
should be and to please post your thoughts and ideas either here
or on the Drake CMS Forge site.

Ideas, huh? Well, I'm all for a core as simple and basic as you
can. I know a lot of newbie types get kind of glassy eyed when
confronting Mambo or Joomla! for the first time. I nned to get
back into the Limbo/Drake environment to come up with specifics
but I wanted to check in and let you know someone's interested.
That'd
be me.
I'm going to install the crossover core and see
what happens.
New is fun!

Thank you for the post Oreb. I agree, one of the main attractions
of the system has been it's ease of use, interface and text
database. Even as we move forward and add new features and
functionality we will be keeping that in mind.
The
initial road map has been prepared and will be updated as work
progresses. A link to it on this site is available in the main
menu.

Thanks.
Now I find I can't actually play at all
because all the text files refer to installation instructions on
the limbo-cms.com site and it seems to have disappeared.
Is that indicative or temporary?
O,
Hah!
Just found your post on the LimboForum site and I'm good to go.
You do get around! The more I learn, the
less I know.

The Limbo CMS site has been off line for around a month now.
Unknown if or when it will be back. The installation is very
simple, unzip the main files on your local machine then upload
them to your web folder, FTP or how ever you access the folder.
Then just got the URL/domain name you have set up and follow the
instructions that will guide you thorugh the process. If you have
any problems, please drop me a line or post your problem at http://www.forum.limboforge.org/ and someone
will help you through it.

Yes, there should be no conflicts when migrating to Drake
1.0.0 We will also test a cumulative patch that will perform
the migration for users.
