What's missing before our FIRST stable release
17 February 2007 12:43
Anonymous Drake CMS is getting a lot of positive feedback these days, even if we still have out of date main websites; I will briefly explain the plan of attack that will lead us to our first successful v0.4 Stable release.

I will list what has still to be cooked in the current v0.3 Beta:
  • UTF8 support, which will help in internationalization and future forward compatibility of Unicode - DONE

  • Enhanced forums, which should be available very soon (possibly finished in v0.3.4 Beta) - DONE

  • CSS modelling, not yet finished

  • Enhanced content component, the main component needs some tuning and some new subfeatures to increase its usability - DELETED

  • Templates conversion, we had to break compatibility with previous CMSes but we plan to offer conversion facilities at least for the templates

  • add-on development, that is currently work-in-progress

Once all the above features will be usable the v0.3 Beta development cycle will end and finally a v0.4 Stable version will be released (probably by this summer). A huge testing effort is expected before a "Stable" release, however.

I want to really thank the community for its help and support in making Drake CMS a better software day by day.
